This weekend we are spoiled to have both Joel Wilson and Finlay Wilson running workshops here!
Joel is leading Moving Into Relaxation, a restorative workshop based around his movement experience and learning as a bodywork practitioner and yoga teacher.
We asked him a little about the session:
What can you tell us about the workshop?
“This workshop combines restorative aspects of Forrest yoga with other gentle forms of movement. The postures and exercises have been inspired by dance and massage, with a focus on body awareness and sensation. It isn’t going to be anything challenging or have anyone worried about their own experience.
So it is suitable for everybody?
“Totally! This class is designed to leave you relaxed and clear, no matter your level. I encourage everyone to come along, especially if you are on the fence!”
On Sunday, both Finlay and Joel are leading Acro FUNdamentals. Here is the post we did about that already!
This month, both Joel and Finlay are back teaching Acro FUNdamentals, a 3 hour workshop exploring the principles of partner acro work, therapeutics and bodywork. This is a great practice for newbies, groups of friends and even experienced practitioners to come along and do something a little different.
Following a comprehensive warm up including Yoga, Dance and Movement work for body awareness and partner conditioning we will begin with simple exchanges of weight and offer uplevels to those wanting more of a challenge. We always wrap up our sessions with come therapeutic flying, a chance to receive a massage and tractioning out of your back. If you are a nervous flyer, we have a yoga swing and aerial props to help keep you up in the air and safe as you work with a partner! How great is that?
Here is a little taster of what we mean by flying therapeutics:
