Since opening the doors of our beautiful Scott Street home 5 years ago, Heart Space Yoga and Bodyworks has fast established itself as one of Dundee’s unique and well-beloved gems. Providing a varied weekly programme of yoga classes, Heart Space attracts over 1,500 people from Dundee and the surrounding areas and has grown into one of the most successful dedicated Yoga studios in Scotland. As Heart Space embarks on its next phase of development, we have created a unique, exciting and permanent position for a Teaching and Project Development Manager. The company’s vision for the future is to develop our existing home into a state-of-the-art facility, widening access to yoga and its related disciplines by delivering a diverse range of classes to the local community. We hope to attract students, teachers, workshop hosts and presenters from around the world, bringing their wisdom and expertise to the heart of our community in Dundee.
The Teaching and Project Development Manager’s prime responsibility is to work alongside the management team and trustees to achieve this vision, focusing on creating a diverse schedule of Yoga classes, establishing resources to deliver a teacher training programme, fundraising to support dedicated classes for mental health issues, disability, and cancer recovery as well as sourcing funds for the ambitious Heart Space capital development programme.
The Trustees are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Helen Meadows to this unique new role. With a background in Biochemistry, Anatomy and Forensic Human Identification, Helen currently specialises in Online Learning Design and Digital Content Development for The University of Dundee and open online education for Future Learn. A Forrest Yoga certified teacher, you can find Helen’s classes in our weekly timetable. To meet Helen and our team of inspiring teachers, why not join us at Heart Space and become a part of our exciting future? http://yoga.heartspacedundee.co.uk/todays-classes/
