Katie began her personal yoga journey in 2008 and came to love how she felt after practising – strong, flexible, and confident. After trying various styles, Katie was amazed by the impact of Forrest Yoga and how it helped her navigate through a confusing period of change in her life. She knew that teaching Forrest Yoga was the right next step and in 2013 completed her teacher training with Ana Forrest in Cape Town. She is currently undertaking the Forrest Yoga Mentorship Programme under the guidance of Forrest Yoga Guardian, Sandra Heider. With a playful and nurturing approach, Katie’s desire is to support students to feel comfortable in their bodies, and develop strategies for dealing effectively with life’s stresses and challenges. Off the mat Katie is a Learning and Education Consultant for Insights and works hard to integrate yoga principles into her work.
